The Heart Behind Earthen Myrra
I started Earthen Myrra in 2018, not just as a skincare brand, but as a gift of wellbeing: something soft, safe and rooted in care.
My journey had begun much earlier, in my mother’s kitchens in Karnataka’s hinterlands, far from any city’s glitzy stores or packaged products. My mother’s mantra – then and now – was that what touches the skin needs to be just as good as what nourishes the body. She taught me that beauty could be simple: turmeric, tulsi, oils warmed by hand, remedies made with love.
But like many of us, I drifted from those roots for a while, drawn toward polished packaging and chemical quick fixes. It wasn’t until I became a mother myself that everything shifted. My daughter – an athlete – began struggling with sensitive skin. I couldn’t find anything I truly trusted for her. So I took matters into my own hands (literally).
Earthen Myrra was born from a maternal instinct, as well as our rich Ayurvedic tradition and my commitment to purity. Everything I create, I’d feel safe using on my own child. Organic ingredients, melded together using gentle yet effective methods, to create skincare products made mindfully and with intention.
For me, Earthen Myrra is an homage to nature’s wisdom, with its healing powers harnessed to promote luxurious and enriching wellbeing and self care.
